Those Who Hope In The Lord

This summer has been jammed packed with lessons about trusting God, and somehow I don't see experiences such as we've had disappearing any time soon in our lives. Something tells me God will continue to be gracious and send us more and more lessons in the upcoming days, months and years.

"Weary" describes, to a tea, how I've been feeling during the month of September. Life has been flying along and part of me has wanted to scream and say "Would everything please just stop!" Perhaps I have been this busy at times in my life before, but for some reason this time, mentally, I feel as though if anything more is thrown my way, I don't know how I would handle it. Good thing my Lord is faithful to provide me with food from His Word, proportioned correctly and aimed truly for me!

I found myself in Isaiah 40 this morning with my Bible study questions. One of the questions really struck me as it read, "Is it a sin to become weary?" As I pondered this thought and read through other Scriptures, I was encouraged to note that it is not sinful. In fact, it is probably when we are tired and weary that we recognize more how big and capable and faithful our God is!

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-30
Thank You Jesus, Praise His Holy Name!

Hi Karina, its been a long time since I have looked at your blog and it was a real joy to share a piece of your journey this afternoon. Your focus on Scripture and humble obedience encourage me greatly. I wish that you lived closer so we could get to know each other. I just want you to know that I am praying for you, Rob and the kids as you enter this last month of pregnancy. Take care and God bless.

Hi Jen, your comment humbled me in return. It is my prayer that people don't see me, but they are pointed to Jesus and His Word. I am so weak; I am nothing apart from Christ and what He has done. I am sorry, I know a number of "Jen"s, so I am trying to figure out who you are. Where do you live? Do I know you from a while ago? If you'd rather email me instead of writing those details on this blog that's fine. email here

I really appreciate this post and the verse you posted. I love that it opens with a question. "Do you not know, have you not heard?"

And I love that God is faithful in building you up.

Love you
