Esther: God's Woman at God's Time

I have been thoroughly enjoying a series on the book of Esther by Nancy Leigh deMoss. There have been so many applicable lessons that have come from this study!

God is always at work in my life, even when His hand is unseen.

God's providence: He makes provision for future circumstances in my life.

We truly have nothing to fear!

God has a plan and He is in control.

Not submitting to a higher authority = not trusting in God; His goodness and strength; the Creator of the world.

God will faithfully reward our faithful service in due time.

We need to be contgent in knowing that God will make final judgments in hurtful situation with people. We must be patient withour words - don't "over-communicate" WAIT! Have discretion.

GOD is the one to take everything to and when we wait for His timing, His leading, He is is free to prepare and convict others' hearts.

Know that we are right where we're supposed to be. Make the most of opportunities in our midst. Don't "make" things happen - wait and be led by God and be of service to Him.

Seek God's wisdom and provision through prayer.

Spend time praying instead of complaining, talking, thinking, and worrying about every situation in our lives.

God has called us into His kingdom for such a time as this.

Seek the Lord for revival and awakening in our land.

If you are looking for a study that focuses on God's providence and godly character, I would HIGHLY recommend downloading the mp3s from Nancy's wesbite http://www.reviveourhearts.com/ .

I also wanted to share some of my favorite resources for Bible study that I've come across this year. They've been wonderful helps in digging deeper and better understanding the Word of God.

Kay Arthur has compiled study helps for each book in the Bible. Helpful introductions for each book, practical approaches for study and applications for everyday life.

This book really helped me discover the importance taking time to do good, careful, observation of the text. This book has given me some great helps for observing the Scripture, interpreting what it's saying, and then applying it to my own life. It helped me realize that there is only ONE interpretation/meaning, but many applications based on life's circumstances and how God convicts and speaks to us.
