Philippians 1:1-2 "Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
Grace: God's undeserved favour towards sinners
Peace: Calm repose; eternal rest; free of strife or discord; harmony in personal relationships, especially with God.
Paul & Timothy wrote this letter to the Philippian church as a thank-you for the care they had received. Paul & Timothy also wanted to encourage the people of the church to have joy as they suffered for Christ. There was persecution going on, but Paul was faithful in his message to have joy while serving God.
